Join a Club

Our Clubs consist of up to 10 children of mixed ages and families from around the community, and a trained camp counselor.

Location

We will be opening clubs throughout the neighborhoods of NOMA and Brookland in NE DC. We will use playgrounds like Turkey Thicket, Langdon Rec and others as our home base. For inclement weather our indoor location is located inside of a

DC Public School

The school as yet to be determined.

Flexibility

Joining a Club gives each family flexibility. You can sign up for one week or for the whole summer.

What We Provide

An Amazing Counselor

We provide each pod their own counselor who will meet you every morning at your start location. This counselor will be with you throughout the whole summer. We staff highly trained counselors like teachers and college students with years of experience working with children.

Snack and Water

We provide individually packed snacks and water to keep your children fed and happy. Families will need to provide their own lunch.

Adventure

We provide fun engaging and active activities to our campers. Our campers will be engaged with structured activities like science, art, water play, sports, field trips, team building, and music and movement.

Summer Activities

Let The Fun Begin!

Creativity is creating new game or pretending one object symbolizes another. Imaginative play is when a swing becomes a rocket ship blasting into outer space or when a slide becomes a ladder on a fire truck. Exploration is having an opportunity to play alone, alongside another friend, or cooperatively with another child or an adult. Discovery is inding a solution to a  problem.

At In Our World our outdoor camp experience makes fun a daily goal. We provide our young campers an opportunity to adventure our beautiful city, exposing every camper to worlds outside of their own, sparking their curiosity. Whether it's spending time at neighborhood parks, visiting a museums, local grocery stores, a library, theater or a garden, each experience that a camper participates in contributes to their understanding of the world.

A World of Activities

In Our World campers will explore activities that are teacher lead and structured, and other less structured activities. This allows campers to make decisions as a group, work on cooperation, and shape their own day. All activities that are planned for our campers are age-appropriate and provide enough variety to keep our Campers engaged, interested and “On the Move” developmentally. Our campers will engage in activities related to our themed weeks like:

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Water Play

  • Sports and Team Play

  • Nature Exploration

  • Team-Building

  • Science and Sensory

  • Music and Movement

  • Field Trips
